Solarvess 8.75: Electric Passenger Platform Focusing on Lines with High Frequency

Solarvess 8,75: Yüksek Sefer Frekansına Sahip Hatlara Odaklanan Elektrikli Yolcu Platformu

The operating conditions of urban surface public transport are significantly different from the use of classical watercraft.

A passenger boat may approach the pier dozens of times during the day, move with different passenger loads, and have to reach service speed again in a short time.

Solarvess 8.75 is a solar-electric passenger boat platform developed specifically focusing on this high-frequency operation structure.

In Navarc's approach, the design of this type of vehicle does not start with simply choosing engine power or battery capacity.

First of all, the task that the boat will perform is defined.

For example, even if the same passenger capacity is requested on two different city lines, route lengths, daily number of trips or times spent in the port may be different.

In this case, the energy system required by both lines does not have to be the same.

For this reason, Navarc emphasizes mission profile-based engineering analysis rather than a standard nominal range value in commercial marine vessel projects.

The energy needs of the boat under different conditions are evaluated by creating best, nominal and challenging operating scenarios.

Thanks to this method, the operator can see not only a single performance value obtained under ideal conditions, but also different situations he may encounter in his daily operation.

The design approach of the Solarvess 8.75 therefore has a broader goal than the performance of a single boat:

More predictable, quieter and more energy efficient urban maritime transportation.
